InvoiceAI is an all-in-one billing and admin product we built for Indian freelancers and small businesses, shipped as a single freemium tool. The insight behind it is simple: for anyone self-employed, the billable work is only half the job — the other half is invoicing correctly under GST, getting paid, putting contracts in place, and keeping records for tax. That admin normally sprawls across several subscriptions and a spreadsheet, none of which talk to each other. InvoiceAI puts the whole back office in one place and makes the essentials free.

At its core is GST-ready invoicing: clean, compliant invoices created in seconds, built for Indian tax rules rather than bolted onto a foreign template. Around that core we built the rest of what an independent professional actually needs — AI-assisted contract drafting so putting an agreement in place stops being the tedious thing people skip, a shareable digital business card that makes a small operation look as credible as it is, UPI payments built into the invoice so clients pay the way India actually pays, e-signatures that remove the print-scan-post cycle, a client portal that cuts down the back-and-forth, and expense tracking so tax time is not a scramble.

The product is deliberately India-first. GST, UPI, and the realities of how Indian small businesses operate are designed in from the start, which is exactly where foreign tools tend to add friction. The freemium model reflects a choice about who the product is for: the core billing every freelancer needs is free, and payment only comes in for the more advanced capabilities. And it is one product rather than a bundle — invoices, contracts, payments, signatures, and expenses share a single login, because switching between tools is itself a tax on time.

Technically, InvoiceAI is a real Next.js and TypeScript application on MongoDB, with Razorpay for payments, authentication via NextAuth, transactional email through Resend, and AI features for contract generation — operated and maintained in production, not left as a prototype. That end-to-end ownership is the same standard we hold all our work to.
