Restrofi — Restaurant Management Platform with QR Ordering & AI Analytics

Restrofi is a full-stack restaurant management platform we built and operate for Indian restaurants — a single product that replaces the tangle of disconnected tools most establishments run today. It began from a clear problem: restaurants were paying heavy commissions to delivery aggregators for their own dine-in and takeaway customers, changing prices meant reprinting menus, and the point-of-sale rarely talked to the kitchen. Restrofi collapses ordering, billing, operations, and marketing into one self-serve system a restaurant can set up and run on its own.

The front door is frictionless QR ordering. A diner scans a code at the table, sees a live menu, and orders from their own phone with nothing to install. Because the menu is digital, a restaurant can change prices, mark items sold out, or launch a combo instantly. The same flow extends to takeaway and, for resorts and farmhouses, to room-based ordering that accumulates onto a folio and settles at checkout.

Behind the scan sits a real operations platform: a point-of-sale, a real-time kitchen display so orders reach the people cooking without a middle step, GST-correct billing, and analytics that turn everyday orders into decisions about what to promote. Over time we added what real operators asked for — combos and promo codes, loyalty, multi-outlet management for chains, and a WiFi captive portal that turns guest internet access into a marketing channel that grows the restaurant's own customer list instead of an aggregator's.

We built Restrofi as a Next.js and TypeScript application on MongoDB, with Razorpay for payments, self-hosted and operated by us. Two engineering principles shaped it. First, configurability over hard-coding: a cafe, a fine-dine, a cloud kitchen, and a farmhouse order and bill differently, so the diner experience re-skins by business type and each outlet can turn features on or off — one maintainable product instead of five forks. Second, robustness over polish: GST edge cases, reliable payments, large menus, and graceful failure matter far more than a slick demo when a restaurant cannot stop taking orders.

Restrofi is live at restrofi.com, running across multiple restaurants with self-serve onboarding. For us it is proof of how we like to build — a real SaaS solving a concrete business problem, owned and operated end to end rather than assembled from other people's platforms. It is also the standard we bring to client work: ship a focused core, put it in front of real users, and let their needs drive the roadmap.
